The FDNY 9/11 Memorial Wall was presented to, and accepted by the Fire Department of New York City (FDNY) as a gift from the law firm of Holland + Knight and its Charitable Foundation under the direction of Brian Starer. It serves as a lasting tribute to the sacrifices of the 343 active Department personnel who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 tragedy, and to all firefighters who serve worldwide.

Viggo Rambusch, was the project manager and designer.  The design evolved in close collaboration with members of the New York City Fire Department.  Artist Joseph Oddi, developed the initial series of the design after which sculptor Joseph Petrovics modeled the full-scale clay model.  It was cast in bronze by the Bedi-Makky Art Foundry in 2005.  The 56 foot long by 6 foot high bronze wall is located on Fire House 10, adjacent to Ground Zero.  It was dedicated by Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
